Now or Later, They are Already Doomed
If you are a victim of black magic, you probably think that whoever did it to you should be punished. You can rest assured that even if you do nothing, they will be punished more than you imagine. People who do black magic (sorcerers) or people who hire sorcerers are both doomed. Not only is doing black magic a kind of shirk (believing in a god other than Allah), it’s the worse kind of shirk because it requires partnering or selling your soul to the devil for it to work. As such, black magic tops the list of sins in Islam.
… And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (black magic) would have no share in the Hereafter (Heaven). And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their own selves, if only they knew.
Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2 Verse 102
You may think that whoever did black magic on you can simply repent and ask for forgiveness. Well, that’s not how it works. Consider this verse from the Quran:
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغۡفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰٓ إِثۡمًا عَظِيمًا (٤٨
Indeed Allah does not forgive that partners be associated with Him. But He forgives from other than that (i.e. other sins) for whom He wills. And whoever associates partners with Allah, then surely he has fabricated a tremendous sin.
Surat An-Nisa (The Women) 4 – Verse 48
Shirk is an unforgivable sin. Like I said, they’re doomed!
To Punish or Not to Punish?
According to the Quran
The recompense for an evil is an evil like thereof, but whoever forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is with Allâh. Verily, He likes not the Zâlimûn (oppressors, polytheists, and wrong-doers). (40) And indeed whosoever takes revenge after he has suffered wrong, for such there is no way (of blame) against them (41) The way (of blame) is only against those who oppress men and rebel in the earth, without justification for such there will be a painful torment. (42) And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allâh. (43)
Surat Ash-Shura (42) – Verse 40 – 43
While you can do absolutely nothing and leave everything to Allah and let Allah decide to punish them now, later or both and now and later, it is okay to do something to punish them. This will help them learn from their mistake and prevent them from doing the black magic to other people. It’s the same goal we have when people are guilty in court of committing a crime. Therefore, by punishing your enemy, you are getting justice and helping them become a better person.
The Punishment Prayer
To punish them, you will make a special prayer and ask Allah to punish them. You don’t and definitely should not go out and try to physically harm them. That’s just going to create more problems for you. Allah will either answer your punishment request by specifically punishing them according to your request or Allah will punish them in another, possibly worse way.
True Punishment Story
My mom and her friend went to do ruqyah on a Nigerian lady living in California to cure her from black magic. They managed to cure her but the black magic effects came back so they went back to cure the lady again. Unfortunately, whoever was doing the black magic kept doing it over and over again. After curing the lady 3 times, they found out that the perpetrator was the lady’s half-brother who still lived in Nigeria. He had done black magic on her when she got married some 20 years prior so that she’d get a divorce. And, worst of all, he did the black magic himself. He was the sorcerer so it was easy for him to find out if his victim was cured and to repeat the magic. Frustrated that the black magic kept being repeated, during the fourth ruqyah session, my mom’s friend punished the sorcerer by reciting the following verse:
رَبَّنَا آتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَالْعَنْهُمْ لَعْنًا كَبِيرًا
Allah, give them double the punishment and curse them with a great curse.
– Surah Al Ahzab (33) Verse 68
He did not specify how the sorcerer should be punished. His intention was merely to punish the sorcerer so that he wouldn’t keep doing black magic on the same victim. The next day, the lady heard that her half-brother in Nigeria fell sick. Two years later, she told us that she was cured ever since that day and that her half-brother was STILL sick! Apparently God wanted to punish him in that way for a long time (over 2 years).
This prayer is to be done after Isha prayer.
- Water Bottles
Put open water bottles (that have water in them) in front of you where you would pray.
Pray 11 rakaahs as follows:
- 2 rakaah
- 2 rakaah
- 2 rakaah
- 2 rakaah
- 2 rakaah
- 1 rakaah witir
This is actually tahajjud prayer (8 rakaahs) plus witr prayer (3 rakaahs). During each rakaah, after Al-Fatihah, recite surah 33 verse 68 100 times. Since there are 11 rakaahs, you will have recited that verse a total of 1100 times. The curse will be collected in the water bottles.
Bathe with the water bottles pouring it over your head and body. When you do so, whoever did you wrong will be punished, insha Allah.
Did it Work?
According to his website, Ben Halima prescribes the punishment prayer when the black magic is repeated or is very strong and the patient has the anger and willingness to fight back. Ben Halima says that this prayer has a big effect on the jinn even after the patient has been cured. The patient can see in their dreams the reactions of the jinn. Following are some ways to know if your prayer was answered.
You may see in your dreams a scene describing what happened.
- Ask people
If you know people who know the person who did black magic on you, you can ask them how the person who did black magic on you is doing. Hopefully they will say that they suffered a tragedy of great proportions. If you don’t
- Ask a jinn
If you or someone you know are doing ruqyah on a patient using the jinn catching method, you can ask the jinn how the person who did black magic on you is doing.
Prayer of the Oppressed
Some prayers get higher priority than others. Luckily for your, prayers of oppressed people get the highest priority in terms of Allah answering them, which just makes sense. Following are some hadeeth regarding the prayer of the oppressed.
- Ibn ‘Abbas narrated: “The Messenger of Allah sent Mu’adh [bin Jabal] to Yemen, and said: ‘Beware of the supplication of the oppressed; for indeed there is no barrier between it and Allah.'”
(At-tirmidhi, Grade Sahih)
- Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There are three whose supplication is not rejected: The fasting person when he breaks his fast, the just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed person; Allah raises it up above the clouds and opens the gates of heaven to it. And the Lord says: ‘By My might, I shall surely aid you, even if it should be after a while.’”
(At-tirmidhi, Grade: Hasan)
- Abu Harairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “Three supplications are accepted , there is no doubt in them (about them being accepted): The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of his father against his son.”
(At-tirmidhi, Grade: Hasan)
